The 2015 IDEXX Information Management Conference

Brenda Tassava has more than 10 years experience with DVMAX and will be presenting four sessions at this year’s conference in Atlanta, GA.

 

On Sunday, you’ll have two sessions:

  • Establishing a Cycle, Elevating Patient Care: Payroll might be your number one cost, but your variable costs–including inventory–aren’t far behind. While many practices are now using online pharmacies to streamline the inventory they have on-hand, preventive care items will always need to be within reach. Proper setup and integration of inventory and bill codes are key to delivering the care your patients need, when they need it. In this session, we’ll explore the inventory cycle, dig deep into proper checks and balances, and provide you with a foundation for implementing a proper inventory flow once you get back to your practice.
  • Less Paper, More Satisfaction and Compliance: Whether you’ve gone paperless or paper-lite or if you’re still thinking about how keeping electronic medical records (EMR) can help your practice, this session is for you. You’ll learn how the use of EMR can greatly enhance the client experience and increase a client’s likelihood of complying with your preventive care recommendations. We’ll look at every step of the client cycle of service and discuss the benefits of integrating EMR to maximize efficiency while elevating client and patient care. You’ll leave armed with the information you need to get your staff to buy-in when you return to the practice.

On Monday, we’ll complete the conference with two more sessions:

  • Preventative Care By the Numbers: Every veterinary practice hopes to deliver patient care in a meaningful manner, recommending preventive care to all their active patients. But we know clients don’t always follow through with our recommendations. Measuring and tracking your clients’ compliance should be at the top of your list of key performance indicators (KPI). In this session, we’ll look at relevant KPIs and the DVMAX® report features that will give you the information you need to inspire your team and better manage your practice.
  • Getting Your Team to Talk, So Clients Listen: Every veterinary practice struggles with internal communication, no matter the size of the team. The trick to gaining compliance from your patients is to bridge any and all communication gaps that exist among your staff. Your DVMAX® scheduler is a great communication tool just waiting to be used to its full capacity! This session will help you design and implement an effective communication system that unifies the front and back ends of your practice while preventing essential client conversations from slipping through the cracks.
